CELEBRATING SUNSHINE PLACE’S 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

On September 14, 2024, Sunshine Place marked its 10th anniversary with a dazzling celebration that brought together both new and long-standing members for an unforgettable day. The event was a true Broadway spectacle, featuring show-stopping performances by talented students, staff, and instructors.

The celebration paid tribute to Sunshine Place’s most dedicated members, as well as staff and partners who have been an integral part of the community for the entire 10 years. Special awards were presented in recognition of their outstanding commitment, service, and lasting contributions to Sunshine Place’s success.

The highlight of the afternoon was a series of captivating Broadway-inspired performances, drawing inspiration from iconic musicals like CATS, Cabaret, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, and Mamma Mia. The grand finale featured a powerful rendition of “The Impossible Dream”, a fitting tribute to Sunshine Place’s successful decade-long journey.

Sunshine Place, a senior recreation center under the Felicidad Tan Sy Foundation, is a multi-service Senior Recreation Center that offers comprehensive and enriching programs for seniors. We aim to meet the wellness needs of seniors and their care givers through engaging, recreational and age-appropriate classes and physical training programs. Apart from this, Sunshine Place provides health education, art courses, music lessons, and other social opportunities for people of all ages.
