A MUSIC-FILLED CHRISTMAS PARTY OF SUNSHINE PLACE
On December 18, 2024, the Sunshine Place community gathered at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Center for a milestone celebration: our first-ever Christmas party held outside the center. This special event was part of the activities commemorating our 10th anniversary, marking a decade of friendship, learning, and joyful memories. The choice of this venue reflects the growth of our Sunshine Place family, as we continue to welcome more members, students, and supporters into our vibrant community.
The evening was graced by the presence of our very special guests, Ms. Lizanne Uychaco, our beloved President, and Ms. Tessie S. Coson, the visionary behind Sunshine Place. Their continued support set the tone for a night filled with gratitude, warmth, and celebration.
The program featured a lineup of exceptional performances that showcased the diverse talents of our community. The Yeba Indak group opened the evening with an electrifying number, followed by the lively Social Ballroom class led by Sir Danny Vinculado. Regina Lim, a gifted painting student and annual exhibit participant, captivated the audience with her violin performance. Tap Dance Beginners enchanted the crowd with their first time performance, while the Tap Dance Advanced class added even more excitement to the stage. After dinner, the students of Dekada class headed by Sir Mark Cruz entertained the audience with their fun and lively performance.
Adding a festive and nostalgic vibe, the Rockin 60s guest band had everyone singing and dancing to classic hits. Truly, Sunshine Place students love dancing and the bigger venue has made it easier for everyone to enjoy the nostalgia. Nonong Pedero, one of the singers of the guest band and the composer of SM's "We've Got It All For You" song, thrilled the audience when they sang their very famous song. The Battig Chamber Singers brought the program to a heartwarming close with their harmonious renditions of Christmas favorites. Fun games, a raffle draw, and an awards ceremony brought extra cheer to the evening, creating an unforgettable celebration of the holiday season and a decade of Sunshine Place's remarkable journey. Even after the program officially ended, the fun continued as Sir Allen Isidro, visiting from California, treated those who stayed to a quick and lively line dancing lesson, leaving everyone with smiles and memories to cherish.
