Atty. Vicky O. Pollisco has been honing her craft in painting since 2015 at Sunshine Place, under the mentorship of Maestro Fidel M. Sarmiento. A lawyer and licensed real estate broker by profession, she finds her true passion in the world of art.

In 2017, she began exploring abstract painting and has since made remarkable strides in the genre. Her work was recognized as a finalist in the Non-Representational (Abstract) Category of the GSIS National Art Competition in both 2024 and 2025.

While she continues to develop her abstract style, she also enjoys painting flowers, often capturing them with striking realism and delicate detail.

Dolly Borlongan came to Sunshine Place in search of a craft she could use for teaching outreach. Along the way, she not only learned a new creative skill but also found lasting friendships with people who share her passion for crafts and community service.

For Dolly, creating crafts is a deeply therapeutic experience, and Sunshine Place has become a place she always looks forward to—a home for creativity, friendship, and meaningful purpose.

Evelyn Felias joined Sunshine Place in 2024 with the simple goal of staying active and having fun through dance classes. Along the way, she discovered acrylic painting, porcelain painting, and decoupage, uncovering creative talents she never knew she had.

Grateful for the guidance of her teachers and the encouragement of newfound friends, Evelyn continues to explore new ideas and create with enthusiasm, embracing every opportunity to grow as an artist.

For Evelyn, Sunshine Place has become a place of learning, creativity, and community, where each new artwork inspires her to keep creating and sharing her journey with others.

Inspired by the arrival of early spring, Tulip celebrates the season of renewal and new beginnings. After months of rain, spring welcomes a landscape filled with fresh greenery and blooming flowers.

The vibrant tulips, elegantly displayed in the bag, symbolize hope, joy, and the beauty that emerges with every new season.

From an early age, Grace Agbayani’s appreciation for color and composition was nurtured through the world of fashion. Her mother, Florencia Coronel, created beautiful children’s clothing under the brand Cinderella, surrounding Grace with a vibrant tapestry of hues, design, and creativity.

Immersed in this symphony of color and artistry, Grace developed a lifelong passion for the visual arts—one that naturally found its expression through painting.

Lita Gelano has always been drawn to the arts and has enjoyed exploring a variety of artistic media over the years. Among them, acrylic painting and Chinese painting remain her favorites, allowing her to express both her vibrant spirit and inner tranquility on canvas. She is currently expanding her creative journey through the art of decoupage.

Inspired by the beauty, serenity, and healing presence of nature, Lita finds her greatest joy in painting flowers and landscapes.

Guided by her personal philosophy, “I paint with my heart,” every piece she creates reflects her emotions, experiences, and deep appreciation for the world around her.

Ma. Rosario Bartolome began her artistic journey exploring oil and acrylic painting. Her passion for learning and creative discovery has since led her to embrace new techniques, including porcelain painting and decoupage.

Through each medium she explores, Rosario reflects her love for art, craftsmanship, and the joy of expressing herself creatively.

Consuelo “Neny” Regino is among the pioneering members of Sunshine Place, where she has taken classes in Writing, Porcelain Painting, and Ikebana.

She is a published writer whose essays, memoirs, and short stories have appeared in three Sunshine Place anthologies: Finding the Sun, Reflections in Light and Shadows, and Bridges of Memory.

Neny has also participated in exhibitions of Ikebana Sogetsu Manila, reflecting her continued dedication to both the literary and visual arts.

Rhoda Canto is a retired banker who dedicated nearly four decades to the banking industry. She continues to share her expertise as a consultant and educator, teaching subjects in banking and finance, management, business development, and communications.

With a career built on leadership, knowledge, and lifelong learning, Rhoda brings the same spirit of dedication to every new endeavor she pursues.

Teresita “Tess” Castañeda has been a member of Sunshine Place for over ten years, where every day brings new opportunities to learn, create, and connect. She eagerly looks forward to participating in dance classes, art sessions, seminars, and talks that continue to enrich her knowledge and inspire her.

For Tess, Sunshine Place is more than a place of learning—it is a community where lasting friendships, shared experiences, and a love for lifelong learning flourish.

Teresita “Terly” Chikiamco spent more than 40 years in the corporate world, always dreaming of a retirement filled with crafting, painting, and giving back to the community.

Today, she is living that dream—serving her community through Contemplative Outreach Philippines and The Women’s Board of St. Luke’s Medical Center, while embracing her creativity through porcelain painting and decoupage at Sunshine Place.

Whether volunteering, creating, or enjoying time with friends, Terly continues to find fulfillment in a life enriched by service, creativity, and meaningful connections.

Known as “Soulcrafter Tess Colayco,” Teresita T. Colayco has embraced arts and crafts since childhood. Over the years, she has explored a wide range of creative pursuits, including needlework, pressed fresh flowers, beading, paper crafts, mixed-media collage for notecards and bookmarks, haiku writing, porcelain painting, and most recently, decoupage.

Guided by her personal mantra, “Put heart in your art and relish the art in your heart,” every creation reflects her lifelong passion for creativity and heartfelt expression.

Veronica “Veron” Montenegro believes that purpose never retires. A former teacher, active church servant, author, and emerging artisan, she continues to embrace each season of life with faith, creativity, and gratitude.

Her lifelong passion for inspiring others has taken many forms—from educating young minds and serving her parish community to writing prayer books for seniors and guided journals that encourage reflection, hope, and purposeful living. Today, through the art of decoupage, she transforms everyday objects into handcrafted pieces that celebrate the quiet beauty of nature.

Inspired by flowers, gardens, butterflies, and the gentle rhythms of daily life, Veron creates works that invite people to slow down, appreciate simple blessings, and find beauty in ordinary moments.
