ROCKIN’ 60S MINI-CONCERT AT THE SUNSHINE PLACE
As part of its 5th Anniversary celebrations, the Sunshine Place recently treated its members to Rockin’ 60s party. Reminiscing to the music of their youth with the Rockin’ 60s Band, members were swinging and dancing the night away.
The Rockin’ 60s Band’s repertoire of classic rock and roll, jukebox music takes their audience down to memory lane with popular and hard-to-find and not-so-heard songs from yester-years. With their music, they truly brought the sunshine in to members and guests.
Band members include Titus Santiago, a corporate executive turned entrepreneur, who also happens to be the ‘Ricky Nelson of the Philippines’; Weng Eraña, a culinary school graduate who caters parties and sings with popular bands; songwriter Dero Pedero, who composed the iconic SM “We’ve got it all for you.” jingle. Cathy Castañeda has been a member of various bands over four decades and is currently with Tonyboy Cojuangco’s Glass Onion Band; while versatile singer Boy Najarro is the band’s newest member.
